Adesso Systems has announced Tubes, a file sharing and synching application. Liz Gannes at GigaOm has a short review of Tubes. You might recall a review I did a while ago when Tubes was in private beta. It is now out of beta and available for free download.
From the Tubes press release - “Tubes allows people to share their content directly from their desktops in a simple, secure environment,” said John Van Siclen, CEO. “Tubes represents a new dimension in how we connect our digital worlds and share our own content with people we know. By blending the reach of the Internet with the power and privacy of the PC, Tubes lets people instantly connect their many personal, private communities of friends, family, classmates, colleagues, or even their own devices. For the first time, people can easily share the elements of their digital lives with whomever they want while retaining complete control and ownership.”
There are lots of different file sharing utilities but most of them don't synch files across your own devices, or synch files to other users. Tubes is a really simple and fast way to share files and keep changes synchronized.
Try it out and let me know what you think.
